The Galley Grand Re- Opening
|Portland, Ontario – May 11, 2013 – The Galley will be re-opening their doors for the busy summer season.With the spring season breathing fresh air into the Portland community it is time to not only prepare for the busy summer months, but also to re- open the doors to the Galley Restaurant. For this season of operation the Galley is back under Len’s Cove management whom have hired a brand new General Manager Sam Routledge to run it. Sam himself is from Birmingham England and met Sean and his wife Val while serving them on a Disney cruise from Los Angeles to Mexico. Over this time period not only did Sam impress the couple with his knowledge and wit, but also won the hearts of their children. By cruise end Sam had earned himself a job offer to manage the restaurant here in Portland Ontario.Sam says “Disney hires only top staff to work on their cruise ships, and puts each selected member through a rigorous training program to provide industry leading service to their guests”. Sam himself has over ten years of experience in the restaurant business and feels his “menu creativity, ability to train staff, and exceptional customer service skills will make this the best summer the Galley has ever had”.A brand new menu will be unveiled with local ingredients, amazing Seafood, and certified AAA Angus steaks. Also watch for additions like a takeout menu to allow for more convenience for customers and boaters. Local Craft Breweries along with traditional favorites will be featured on tap, and the wine list has been painstakingly balanced to compliment the menu. Expect some incredible food and wine at fair prices.
